Colin Jenkins from the Seamen’s Christian Friends Society (www.scfs.org) in Cork visited us today to preach and give a slide-show presentation on the work that SCFS do. The slideshow is not included here but you can click below for the sermon recording and the reading from 2 Kings 7:3-9.

Please Pray for Colin Jenkins, his wife Sunhwa and the work of SCFS

  • For people in Ireland to catch the vision and have a burden for seafarers. Pray for the publishing and distribution of the “Seafearers” book in Korean.
  • For Walter and Mary Burrell as the retire from the work and for Colin and Sunhwa as they take up the baton.
  • That their hearts would daily awakened to the great spiritual needs of seafarers. Pray also for the safety and welfare of seafarers out in the stormy winter seas.
  • Learning how to live and witness among seafarers. They need sensitivity and discernment.
  • For our relationship with God and with each other to grow deeper day by day.
  • For Sunhwa as she holds Korean Bible Studies and a Games night in their church on Wednesday nights.
  • For the five new believers they are helping in Cork. That they would grow and matur. Also please pray for Sunhwa who is expecting a baby and due any day now.
